Cozy Autumn Soup
Hello Vital Beings π
I hope you are doing great and are enjoying the beautiful
weather. It is hard to believe that I am attending a THANKSGIVING potluck
tomorrow. How can that be?! And guess what I'm bringing???
COZY AUTUMN SOUP! As promised, here is that recipe. I hope you are still able
to enjoy it during this extended fall season <3
I followed this recipe: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/cozy-autumn-wild-rice-soup/ with
a few modifications.
I cooked the soup in my favorite burnt-orange colored
ceramic lined cast iron pan. π I modified the
"Old Bay Seasoning" with the below "Old Bay Seasoning"
recipe (with a couple modifications).
https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/recipes/a98351/how-to-make-old-bay-seasoning/
I didn't grind the bay leaves (I was worried they wouldn't grind
up all the way and they are pointy and sharp and I didn't want anyone
experiencing that discomfort. So, instead, I put a couple of dashes of File
powder (for gumbo soups) in it instead. You do not need much but it gives the
earthy tone/taste to the soup.
