Ghee recipe

Dear Vital Beings 💞 I had asked Kaylynn for her Ghee Recipe and she sent it to me a while ago. I intended to share before Friday's full moon but life threw me some curveballs. Regardless, I wanted to finally share it with you!!  From Kaylynn:  You can buy ghee at the stores; however, it is extremely easy to make and much more cost effective to make it yourself. Ghee is the most balancing oil for all the doshas, so if you’re looking to add oil to your diet, this is the best place to start! It’s recommended that we have 1 – 3 tablespoons per person each day. Traditionally, ghee is made on a full moon in a calm quiet space while you think of a nice mantra. Ghee is said to soak up the energy around you, so it’s best to practice pranayama or the IEP beforehand. This is a spiritual practice that connects you to your Self as you will be consuming the ghee, the cow who generously provided the ingredient, the science of Ayurveda, and the overall positive energy you add to the ghee whe...

Music Playlists

Dear Vital Beings 💓 I love listening to music, peaceful music that resonates within my soul. Songs that I feel in my chakra(s), I feel down to my core. Songs that speak directly to my soul. It is amazing how you can feel "heard" and relatable when listening to a song emoting another human's pain, pleasure, joy, or amusement.  I enjoyed listened to so many different songs, adding them to playlists for months before the retreat, adding each song to a playlist so that I could play it during our yoga practices. To give credit where credit is due, I wanted to share the playlists with you.  For our yin practice and the despacho ceremony, I played this playlist:  https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1XLOe8C1AWrb7ymvBsmAdn?si=K8j09IZYQXOz31lPGwMddg&pi=u-0xAVpeEoRJWw I also played this playlist during some of our practices and Sunday as we were packing up:  https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6JDoM3usl1rtGHQM16x2nz?si=lYV433HrRgKd9R9x_BTMQA&pi=u-Z5c23tkARtqK I t...

I've Been a Thousand Different Women

Dear Vital Beings 💓 Ladies, please forgive me for not making space to follow up as I intended. I hope you are doing amazingly well.  As we closed our or last yoga practice after Savasana on Sunday, I played a song called "I've Been A Thousand Different Women" by Emory Hall and Trevor Hall.  It is a powerful song. Intuitively, I felt that it resonated with most of you. I was so overwhelmed (in a good way) with amazement and gratitude, and honor, to have created a safe space for each of you over the weekend, I had broken down in tears. This was a sacred time for me that I will forever remember. THANK YOU for trusting me to create this experience for you.  As Emory had said in her song:  Make peace  With all the women you once were Lay flowers at their feet  Offer them incense and honey, and forgiveness Honor them and give them your silence Listen Bless them and let them be for they are the bones of the temple you sit in now for th...

Cozy Autumn Soup

Hello Vital Beings 💞 I hope you are doing great and are enjoying the beautiful weather. It is hard to believe that I am attending a THANKSGIVING potluck tomorrow. How can that be?! And guess what I'm bringing??? COZY AUTUMN SOUP! As promised, here is that recipe. I hope you are still able to enjoy it during this extended fall season <3  I followed this recipe:  https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/cozy-autumn-wild-rice-soup/  with a few modifications.  I cooked the soup in my favorite burnt-orange colored ceramic lined cast iron pan. 😉 I modified the "Old Bay Seasoning" with the below "Old Bay Seasoning" recipe (with a couple modifications).  https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/recipes/a98351/how-to-make-old-bay-seasoning/ I didn't grind the bay leaves (I was worried they wouldn't grind up all the way and they are pointy and sharp and I didn't want anyone experiencing that discomfort. So, instead, I put a couple of dashes of File powder (f...
